About the Event

(This event is in person and online. Please refer to flyer for more information)

Today,  one in four dying Americans is a Veteran. Veterans often had traumatic  life experiences which can emerge at End of Life and affect the dying  experience; as can PTSD. The presenters will offer a basic understanding  of a Veteran’s unique needs and explore commons symptoms and treatment  for PTSD. The panel will include the perspective of someone who has  dealt with PTSD and now councels other Veterans. They will explain why  enrolling in the VA as early as possible is critical. They will  detail why enrolling when the Veteran is still mobile could be the  difference between receiving free homecare vs. receiving only a small  stipend for funeral costs.
