Committees

Community education is the cornerstone of our organization. We fulfill our mission statement through the committees listed below. We invite those interested to contact us and join one or all of the committees and become a part of the Circle of Life Coalition’s education commitment to our community.

Education Committee – The Education Committee develops programs and acquires topics and speakers for our monthly seminars. This committee is unique in concept because they take a closer look at new and innovative topics surrounding end of life care. From Healthcare Reform: A Moving Target, Pet Therapy in Hospice, or GriefShare Bereavement Support Groups, the Education Committee fulfills our mission statement. In addition to our monthly seminars, we also plan Community Education Events twice a year. They are held in the evening and are designed to attract our community following. Past topics have included: Exploring Senior Living Options, Children Grieve Too: How do we Meet their Needs?, etc. Currently the Education Committee is not meeting regularly. We will post here when it resumes.

Community Relations Committee – This Committee tackles the unique process of promoting an organization that may be difficult for the community to embrace. This requires a different perspective on marketing which culminates into innovative marketing concepts not yet implemented within our community. Committee members benefit by taking these concepts to their organization for possible implementation and consideration. Currently the Community Relations Committee is not meeting regularly. We will post here when it resumes.

Hospitality Committee -. The committee’s responsibilities include providing signage and a personal welcome for attendees of the Coalition’s monthly seminars, community education events, and conferences. They provide follow-up contact with first-time attendees and expressions of gratitude to our seminar presenters & sponsors. Currently the H is not meeting regularly. We will post here when it resumes.

We welcome those who may be interested in contributing their skills and talents to assist us in the fulfillment of our mission statement: “The Circle of Life Coalition educates the community and professionals on all aspects of end of life care.”
