Presenter: Dr. Henriette Alban, Doctor of Naturopathy who has  a private Wellness practice since 1997 – specializing in the release of mental/emotional stressful aspects and how they inform our lives and bodies. 2011 Senior Expo Winner

We are pleased to award the lucky winner of our giveaway basket to Virginia Sep of Sinking Spring who was among over 500 entries during the 2011 Senior Expo. We contacted Virginia last week to let her know the good news. She said “I finally won something. I never win anything”. Her entry was placed at the last minute she said. “I walked by and saw this lovely basket and had to just put my name in”. This is the Coalition’s  second year at the Expo. We attend to help raise awareness and fulfill our mission to the community.

2011 Annual Conference A Success

Our 2011 Annual Conference took place on Friday, November 4th, 2011.  In addition to our monthly Seminars and our Community Education Series, the Annual Conference is our flagship event. Our featured speaker was author Virginia Fry, MA who is currently the Director of the Hospice and Palliative Care Council of Vermont, Bereavement Coordinator of Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, and adjunct faculty to four Vermont colleges. She also consults for the Vermont department of Children & Families and other various health organizations nationwide. We also featured Rabbi Minna Bromberg who gave a special presentation on how singing allows us to connect with one another across what would otherwise be barriers. It was a phenomenal success with attendees leaving with new perspectives on end of life issues, coping skills, strategies that were comprehensive and effective. Rabbi Minna Bromberg gave us lessons on how singing can bring peace to all who wish to take that moment and grace ourselves and others with melodies that bring peace, love and understanding of the life process.

Speakers Bureau is under development. We will be providing a wide array of topics for interested persons or organizations to choose from. Through the Speaker’s Bureau, we will have the ability to help educate our community beyond our Annual Conference, Monthly Seminar’s and our Community Education Series. More information soon.
